I seem to be having difficulties with this posting every day thing. If I'm slow on here, you can keep up on my facebook if you want. I've managed to post there everyday at least. Anyway, here we go:
Day 19 - I am grateful for the library here in Burlington. If you know me very well at all, you'll know that I have a tiny obsession with good books. I love that I have the resource of great library so close by so that I can keep reading without breaking the bank.
Day 20 - I am thankful for my church family and the fellowship we're able to have together. Sunday, we had a potluck after service. We may be a small family for now, but it is so nice to gather and share our lives and good food together. God has certainly given us a gift in Heritage Free Methodist Church.
Day 21 - I was thankful for a day on which I had nothing to do! This doesn't happen very often. Part of the reason for this nice break was that we were in Montello while Ryan was hunting, so I couldn't do chores, I didn't have a kitchen in which to cook, etc... So, Ian and I just got to hang out for the day. Besides just being able to relax, it was also appreciated because we had a really late night driving to Montello on Sunday. Even if not though, in the midst of the busy, busy and go, go, go, I was so grateful to just have the chance to slow down and enjoy the day to the fullest.
Day 22 - I am thankful for Sky Lodge Christian Camp. I have been going there for 15 years now, and so much has changed in my life because of that place and the people there. There is quite a bit of change going on there, but I am thankful that it is a place I can go back to any time and feel like I'm home.
Day 23 - I am thankful for several things today. First of all, today is Ian's 18 month birthday. I am so thankful for every single day that I have had with him. He's seriously the coolest kid I know.
Also, I'm grateful for Ryan's dad, who is celebrating his birthday today. Without him, I wouldn't have my fantastic husband. So Steve's birthday is certainly something to be grateful for.
Finally, I'm grateful for this season. I love the baking, the time with family, the preparation and expectation. There's nothing like it.
So much to be thankful for, and I still have a week left! Thanksgiving is tomorrow. If you haven't been doing a month of gratitude, what is it that you'll be thankful for tomorrow?
