Ian and I left for a weekend in Ohio early Friday morning. Ryan left for a week of job training in Iowa City early Monday morning, before we got home. Not so fun to go an entire week without our family being together.
So today, I am thankful that Ian and I were able to go and spend an evening with Ryan.
Unfortunately, Ryan got off work a little later than he hoped, but we still made the most of our evening. We visited the Iowa Children's Museum. We only had about an hour, but Ian had lots of fun, especially in the "Notion of Motion" section. I don't currently have the pictures on my computer, but hopefully I'll get them up soon.
We also went to the hotel's pool (which features a 100' water slide!). It took Ian a little while to warm up to the idea of swimming, but once we got him kicking, he had a ball! It was so much fun to see him enjoy the water. I have pictures and video of that too which will hopefully be forthcoming.
Anyway, after 5 days of not being with Ryan, it was a nice evening to spend as a family. Along with that, I have to say that I'm grateful for a good man that I want to spend time with. He's the very best.
